Giving Back: Waktu Horology Attends Berita Harian x AMP Charity Golf and Dinner
On the evening of July 22, 2025, Waktu Horology’s founder, Dahliah, had the honour of attending the Berita Harian x AMP Charity Golf and Dinner. Held in conjunction with Singapore’s 60th anniversary of independence, this significant event, co-organised by Berita Harian and AMP Singapore, brought together a community dedicated to a shared purpose: giving back. The event was made even more special with former President Mdm Halimah Yacob serving as its patron.

Waktu Horology’s involvement was driven by our core belief in social responsibility. We were proud to contribute to the cause by paying to attend the charity dinner and sponsoring the goodie bags for all 210 attendees. Each bag included an exclusive Waktu Horology watch cleaning cloth and an introduction card about our brand. For us, this was more than just a sponsorship; it was a reflection of our commitment to supporting meaningful causes that uplift vulnerable communities and invest in the future.

The atmosphere throughout the evening was nothing short of amazing. Comedian Suhaimi Yusof was the emcee, his relaxed and casual jokes making the vibes chill and lighthearted. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there, their collective joy a testament to the power of community. Dahliah had the opportunity to interact with many inspiring individuals, including Singaporean Olympian Kiria Tikanah, a reminder of the diverse and talented community gathered for this noble cause.
The event successfully raised over $260,000, and with anticipated matching grants, the total contributions are expected to reach a staggering $400,000. These funds will support programs by AMP and the Singapore Children's Society, helping vulnerable families, youth, and children build brighter futures.
For Waktu Horology, expressing our heritage through watches is our passion, but giving back to the community is our purpose. This inspiring evening reinforced our commitment to take part in charity and community initiatives whenever the opportunity arises.
